Another great way to promote your skills as a comic book artist and your drawings is by posting your VERY BEST drawings (only) in image gallery websites.There are many out there, and most offer A LOT for free. I use and recommend the following:
Having your drawings in these art "web" galleries is a step closer to having your own website, with all the benefits that implies.
Now, even having your own website, still post your drawings in those galleries. I have a website and I keep my drawings in the galleries. Why? Because you never know if a writer or publisher who wants to contact you, saw the drawing she or he liked, in those web galleries.
So go ahead, check out those web galleries, create your own account, and post your VERY BEST drawings. Then, take some time to learn about their special options, like participating in artwork contests, submitting your artwork for calendars, etcetera.
And check out the artwork from other artists, I'm sure you'll find very beautiful pieces by very talented individuals. Get to know them, and invite them to see your drawings.
